As the first international children’s book fair in Korea, Busan International Children’s Book Fair takes its first step this year. As Busan is establishing itself as a hub for the East Asian culture industry, hosting Busan International Film Festival and G-star, BICBF aims to become Asia’s leading platform for children’s content industry. 

<Illustrators' Village> will provide an opportunity for artists to showcase their various picture books and merchandise to visitors. We are looking for artists to participate in <Illustrators' Village>, and we look forward to your interest and participation.

  Who can apply?

Qualification Requirements: An illustrator (picture book author) who has published books with assigned ISBNs.

※ You must list at least one book with an assigned ISBN.

※ You can also apply with books you have participated in by creating covers or illustrations.

*  If your work is used as cover or illustrations of a book, you can sell the book at the Illustrators' Village. However, if the publisher of the book is participating the Busan International Children's book fair as an exhibitor, the details on the possibility of selling the book must be determined by illustrators and publisher's agreement.

※ The sale of all other products produced by the illustrators besides books (goods, artworks, etc.) is available.

* Selling books published by illustrators without ISBN is available if satisfy the other criteria.

 About participation fees

- 400,000KRW

- Information on payment of participation fee will be provided to the finalized participants individually.

Apply on BICBF Website (bicbf.or.kr/)

① Visit the BICBF website (bicbf.or.kr/)
② Check the notice
③ Submit application form and portfolio via email (bicbf@kpa21.or.kr)
  *You must list at least one book with an assigned ISBN.

  *Portfolio must be submitted separately (no more than 10 pages / submitted as a PDF, 10MB limit)
