Celebrating Diverse Voices - Current children's publishing in North and South America
Speakers joining us through BICBF fellowship program will be covering trends in the children’s publishing market in North and South America. The major success of one Canadian program will illustrate children’s publishing trends in North America, and an analysis of children’s books published in Brazil will shed light on the current focus on diversity and tolerance in South American publishing and on likely trends in the future.

Coloring Taiwan: The Art of Children's Books and Graphic Narratives
This session will look at trends in the Taiwanese publishing market through the lens of today’s popular comic books and children’s books. There will be an analysis of the Taiwanese reaction to Korean children’s books and a discussion of future trends in copyright transactions between the two countries. The session will also look at Taiwan’s largest children’s library and examine its perspective on promoting children’s publishing and its efforts in that direction.
