Meet Hanna Cha, the Caldecott Honor Award Winner
Cha Hanna, an illustrator of picture books, is a second-generation immigrant to the United States with dual citizenship. Traveling between the United States and Korea as a child raised questions about identity and belonging, but these two cultures also gave her creative inspiration. The Truth About Dragons, which carries a balance between European and Asian aesthetics, touches the hearts of children around the world. This is the chance to hear the untold story from the author.

The Artistic Oeuvre of Katsumi Komagata
The late Katsumi Komagata was a graphic designer and a paper art book designer. Raw materials of his art were the colors, texture, and surfaces of paper, which have a wholly different impact from typical brush-based and pencil-based illustration. He built his inimitable career while running One Stroke, a design studio and publishing house. His daughter and current One Stroke director Ai Komagata will be speaking at this session.
