Book Talk/Seminar

Writing Workshop with Jordan Scott

In this workshop, we will explore our relationship to the natural world through poetry, painting, and drawing. We’ll explore how the natural world speaks through us and how our artwork can become places of listening and collaboration with the ecological world. Together, we’ll look closely at the textures, rhythms, and quiet surprises of nature—wind, stones, leaves, rivers, oceans, and light—and learn how language can hold their presence. Through playful writing prompts, group sharing, and short readings, participants will discover new ways to connect personal experience with the living environment. No previous writing experience is required—just curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to step outside and see the world anew.
